Originally, this blog post was going to be about photography, as I've recently taken to picking up my recently self-repaired digital camera and snaping pictures of various locals and people. However, I realized that the entry was become very essay like, and it was killing my desire to actually write/finish the post. Plus, I was forming generalizations about photography from what may have simply reflected my own opinion, because what holds true for me, may not hold true for everyone regarding the subject.

There's something to be said for form and structure, and it's certainly helpful to focus a topic so it doesn't become inane ramblings that tumble from one subject to the next, but, dammit, this is my blog and it needs to reflect the way I think. I want to stimulate creativity, not boring sameness.

What I mean by this is that my writing should reflect my personality and give you, the reader, a sense of who I am. My sense of humor. As an example, look at the Vampire Chronicle novels by Ann Rice (which I'm currently rereading the second book in the series). The first book, Interview with the Vampire tells the story through the eyes of Louis. The second book, The Vampire Lestat is, obviously, told by Lestat de Lioncourt. The two books have a different feel as it reflects how those characters experience the world around them. You get a sense of who they are as the tales are recounted.

So from now on, that's what you're going to get. Me, and the way I experience this crazy world we live in.

Until next posting, salud.
